Hello. My name is Michael Tylzynski. I am of Cherokee decent on my mother's side and have been walking the red road most all of my life. My interest in stone tools and artifacts goes back to my childhood in Oklahoma where I found numerous arrowheads and always wondered where they came from and how they were made. Having spent most of my life as a hunter and fisherman searched out different people who were doing what is now called flintknapping and through trial and error got to the point I was making some decent but not great arrowheads and knife blades. I then met Craig Ratzat who is one of the best flintknappers in the world having flintknapped for over 35 years. I started taking lessons from him and my skills grew in leaps and bounds and have brought me to where I am today.
I feel I am now making very good stone tools and I hope you find them nice as well I sell arrowheads, and knives to hunters as well as collectors and make many displays for people to enjoy in their homes so take a look through my work and I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoy producing it. All my work is done with stone bone and copper tools, and yes copper has been in use for over five thousand years if you have any special requests please drop me a line and I will make that special tool or knife just for you.
I work with all types of stone including Obsidian, agate, jasper, and many types of flint and from time to time have very rare types of stone in small quantities thank you and may the creator bless you and yours - Michael.
If you have a special request you can send me a drawing or a picture and I will quote you a price. Unless otherwise specified I haft all knives with pine pitch and real elk or deer sinew. I also will do special finishes with epoxy and other resins mixed with ground charcoal. I travel to a lot of pow wows and also mountain man events and I will have my schedule posted on this site so if you want something delivered to you I can bring it with me if you will be at one of the events I am at. I also give knapping lessons to anyone wanting to learn.
No matter what your race is or where you are from your ancestors had a history of stone tools-it is the means that all men followed that lead us to here, so own a piece of your history and it will be in your family for generations to come .All pieces are signed with a diamond engraver and are guaranteed to your satisfaction or a full refund will be returned to you no questions asked as long as item is returned in condition it was sent.
