Following are samples of various knife sheaths we have created. If we don't currently have one you like in stock, it can be created in 30 days to 6 weeks depending on the backlog on our work board. We will advise time of completion when you order. Each piece is one-of-a-kind. They usually measure approximately 2-1/2" to 3" wide by 8" - 12" long. They are normally beaded in size 11 or 12 glass seed beads and many times in old time colors. Each has a single split rawhide liner making it a very sturdy piece. If you have a tribal design or colors in mind, please let us know and we will be glad to create a sheath especially for you. Please click on the pictures below to get a close-up of the beadwork.

The front of this sheath is done entirely with porcupine quillwork sewn to braintan deerhide in the mountain design. It is approximately 3" wide x 9" long. It covers a deer rawhide interior and is extremely sturdy. This is a one of a kind sheath, has been sold and will not be duplicated. Left here for your viewing only.

This sheath is my depiction of the Texas flag and was custom made for a client (thank you Gavin). Note the four winds designs. It is a very large sheath meant to accommodate a Bowie knife and measures approximately 3-3/4" x 13". It is beaded with size 12 seed beads on braintanned deerhide over deer rawhide. This particular design will not be duplicated; however if you are a Texan, I can make a special design for you. The price shown reflects the size of the sheath.

This sheath honors our veterans - it is 3" x 9-1/2" with 9" fringe. It is beaded with size 12 seed beads on braintanned deerhide over deer rawhide. Note the red horse hair and brass cones. The service ribbons down the center represent the Viet Nam War, Korean War, WWII and WWI - the teepee symbols around the end and red four winds designs represent our Native American warriors from all over the country who have fought and died for our country.

This is a custom-made partially beaded knife sheath and matching neck pouch. The sheath is made from smoked braintanned deerhide with a single split cow rawhide liner making it very rigid and sturdy. It measures 3" wide at the widest point and approximately 8-1/2" long. It is beaded on the front with size 12 old style French seed beads in greasy yellow, white, green and dark red. Because this is custom-made, the design will not be done again so that our valued customer (thanks Jim) will have a one-of-a-kind piece. However, it will give you an idea of a partially beaded sheath. It is completely hand sewn and is an extremely sturdy piece that will last for generations. Fringe can be added for an additional $25. The neck pouch is an additional $50 and more of these can be seen on our "Beaded Bags" page.
